about pick me up poetry

Pick Me Up Poetry is developed in partnership between the University of Arizona Poetry Center and the Hurand Connection Fund. As a Poetry Center board member, Josh Hurand (1973-2021) infused poetry into every aspect of his life and was the ultimate connector of people and community. In his honor, we invite you to experience this curated collection of poems designed to connect and uplift.

Whether you want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday or spark a deeper connection with your surroundings, we hope you enjoy and share a pick-me-up.
